Created by Füri in cooperation with celebrity chef Rachael Ray, the Gusto-Grip line of knives are well-made, user-friendly, and fun to look at as a bonus. Designed to retain sharpness and maximize efficiency on the cutting board, Gusto-Grips blades are fashioned from a single forged piece of premium CrMoV German stainless steel. The nonslip polypropylene and rubber handles in cheerful bright orange have a comfortable reverse wedge shape that minimizes the need for squeezing and molds ergonomically to the hand. A smart touch, antimicrobial protection on the grip limits bacteria, mold, and deterioration. A great little tool, this Gusto-Grip paring knife has a versatile 4-inch blade suited to trimming eyes from potatoes or slicing nectarines. The finger notch creates greater control, and the piece comes with a blade guard that is especially handy in the picnic basket or lunchbox. A match for the Gusto-Grip chef's and santoku knives, the parer carries a limited lifetime warranty and is best washed by hand. A 3-1/2-inch Gusto-Grip parer is also available. --Emily Bedard

Furi Knives

I agree with other reviewers that these knives are not of the same quality as the paring knife that comes with the set, but they are also not the same price! For the price, these knives are excellent. They are very sharp and so far have kept their edge. If you are looking for a REALLY good inexpensive knife, this one will fit your needs.
Shockingly great!

I bought this as a small knife just to open mail. I was shocked to how great it felt. For seven dollars this knife is a miracle! The cover guard fits great. I definitely recommend it.

I recently purchased this knife and thinks it works great for everything. Nice feel in hand. I do think it is really sharp maybe too sharp for me. But does a great job. I grab to use it for everything now. I am thinking of purchasing another one.

This knife does a great job cutting off the outer skin of all fruits. Good for steaks too.

This is a wonderful mid-size paring knife which I like very much. I do not often cook, so I've never really considered knives, but I do know that when I cut celery or onions, it works much better than the other knives I have. I also like the protective blade guard. Great price as well.

Great knife. Exceptionally sharp. Comfortable to hold. Only hiccup I have with it is the sleeve: the knife slips in a bit too easily. Could have been a bit tighter to stay more securely on the knife. This is a minor point which does not detract from the quality of the knife itself.
I love Rachael Ray

I love Rachael Ray but this knife was a lot bigger than the paring knives I was used to. All in all it is a good knife and I do use it.

This is a great pairing knife...long, strong and the protector cover is great. I bought another one after I saw how much I liked, and used the first.

Pairing knife

If you are planning to replace this with one of your pairing knives that came in a furi set, do not order. The quality is not the same and it will not fit in your knife holder that furi supplies. It is ok as a knife on the side to use but not the quality that furi normally puts out. In fact the color is not even the same as it has a slightly off color handle compaired to the sets. Would I order this again. No.

I really expected an excellent paring knife from Rachel Ray, but this one is about like all the others I have. It works fine, but is certainly not unusually sharp.

Nice enough knife for the money

This knife has a good feel in your hand and cuts well. It does however have NO serrations to the edge of the blade as advertised. I looked for serrations under heavy magnification too. It is of the same orange color and has the same kind of feel to the handle as the other Gusto grip knives do, but without the stainless steel pomel or tang. I didn't care to have this particular knife included for show with the other Gusto knives and it now sits alone in one of my drawers. That being said I know I will be using this knife a lot for many things as It does cut well and feels comfortable in my hand. It's just not display material in my opinion.
Too long and not sharp enough

The handle on this knife makes it way too long to use for a pairing knife, it is much more practicle as a steak knife to tell you the truth.
